The 2026 South Regional Tournament will offer an Open and Small divisions. The Small Division Tournament will be on Friday July 24th and the Open Division Tournament will be on Sunday July 26th. Both tournaments will be held at Milton HS.

2024 Results
BB&N Rules the Open DivisionBB&N and Weymouth played in game one of pool play and managed to navigate the Open Division to meet up in the finals. The journey to finals was a long day that feature high temperatures, on and off rain and some sun sprinkled in too. No matter the conditions, BB&N (7-0) had the answers that included beating Weymouth (5-2) twice.

Brockton Holds off Hingham, 14-7 to Claim the 2019 South Regional
Westwood - The South Regional lived up to it's reputation for being very competitive! 40 teams competed and the Final Four teams were; Hingham, Bishop Hendricken, Brockton and Newton North.
Hingham and Newton North played in the same pool with North winning 14-13 and they both worked their way around the bracket to reach the semi-finals. However their quest for a rematch was not to be. Brockton used explosive plays on offense and solid defense to knock Newton North out in the Semi's.
Hingham was able to reach the Final by defeating Bishop Hendricken of Rhode Island in a close game.
In a tight game, Brockton again relied on it's defense to hold a talented Hingham team to 7 points. Both Teams will advance to the New England Championship July 24th, 4pm-9pm at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody MA.

7/15/2018 - It was small schools Scituate and Dennis-Yarmouth that emerged from a very competitive South Regional field on Sunday to meet in the finals. Both teams have qualified for the New England Championship July 26th at Xaverian Brothers HS as finalists of the South.
At this point, both teams were running on fumes as the heat caused many players to cramp. Scituate scored on their 2nd and 4th drives to build a 14-0 lead. Scituate Quarterback, Aidan Sullivan was a standout all day as the Sailors moved the ball well verse everyone. The second score came with 3 minutes remaining which put Dennis-Yarmouth in a must score quickly situation. Any thoughts of a comeback were dashed as DY players struggled with cramps and they were forced to throw short. The overall competition at the South Regional was very high. Traditional Massachusetts 7v7 powers, Duxbury, Foxboro, Mansfield and Stoughton all showed well qualifying for the playoffs. Connecticut teams; Greenwich, Plainville and St Joe's continued to represent well as all 3 won at least one playoff game. Greenwich made it t the final four before losing to Scituate. The South also had a few surprise teams. Barnstable (5-2) made a run the final four after finishing second to St Joe's in its pool. Along the way they beat Braintree (4-1), who was also a major surprise winning its pool over Foxboro 14-13 and Bridgewater-Raynham (4-2). Canton was also surprise finishing (3-2) but making the playoffs. Both of Canton's losses were to DY in pool play and Scituate in the playoffs. |

Franklin Protected its HOUSE in the South
Franklin survived Watertown in the semi-final buy stopping 3 plays inside the 5 as time expired and was rewarded with rival Mansfield in the final.
The championship came down to Mansfield's 2-point attempt with seconds left. When it was knocked down, the food booth went crazy and Franklin was victorious 28-26. |
